Mrs. Fatland's class,
thanks for all the great questions! Keep them coming... you have given me some ideas of photos to take. Overall this trip has so far been amazing. I do miss you all,
Ms. Swanson
Aleta,
Those boxes are filled with all the school supplies that students from Seattle sent. Some of the boxes will also go to kids in orphanages.
Hugo,
It is in the 80's here and quite humid. Because we are so close to the equator the sun feels super hot... check it out on a globe.
Annabelle-
There are animals here although we don't see them, they hide out in the trees. We did see a small grey monkey cross the road after we visited someones house.
Sophie-
All the kids in schools, both boys and girls have their heads shaved to prevent lice. They also do not use water here to wash there hair. It just keeps everyone cleaner.
Eden-
It is quite beautiful here... I will try to take some more photos of the landscape.
Max-
The crate is a shipping container 40 feet long it had about 850 boxes.
Evie-
There are not a lot of flowers here, different kinds of tropical plants... I will keep my eyes out for flowers for you.
Jordan-
This is one of my favorite places in the world.
Reed-
The Mukono boarding and day school has 1050 studednts some stay at the school some walk to school.
Drew-
I am having an amazing time, people here are so wonderful and kind. They are very happy to see us.
Mason-
It rains once a day. We look forward to the rain as it cools everything down. The roads here can get very dusty and the rain helps that.
Jena-
Most school start at P1 which is first grade. I will take a photo of a kindergarten for you.
Luke-
the boxes came over on a boat. They were put on a boat in Seattle and sent all the way to Kenya and then put on a truck into Uganda.
